How it works

Brand and Personalize Your Program

Provide us with your logo and pick your opt-in phrase. We assign a unique mobile number for your institution’s campaign. At the end of a tour, your guide hands out a card inviting visitors to opt-in by texting your chosen phrase to your number. Visitors can get connected to their original tour guide or other best-matching guides. In 3 minutes or less, they are ready to text with their matched guide!

We Onboard Your Selected Guides

Invite your tour guides to connect with their visiting students. We’ll onboard your guides and get them set up on Connections. Your guides create a profile. Matching is done by your visitor entering their tour guide’s name as shown on a small card each guide hands out at the end of a tour. We can also match guides based on major, demographic, or other visitor interests.

Make Suggestions and Create Topic Prompts

Our system periodically prompts your guides with new texting ideas and topics. That means connections remain active over time. Prompts help guides talk about student clubs, what to do off-campus, food places on campus, and housing options. Prompts can also help remind students to send in forms and hit deadlines!

Guide Help Pages, Live Helpline, and Guaranteed Student Response

Your guides can text from home, school, or vacation. We offer guides a staffed helpline, 8 am - 9 pm local time. We also offer content pages on any relevant enrollment topic. Finally, we ensure every visiting student’s texted-in questions will always receive a human response within two hours.

Connections is a powerful research tool you can use to learn about important issues for your prospective students. You get a dashboard with access to view every conversation.  You can also download conversations and append them to your CRM system.
